    The Rugby 7s is returning to Sydney, as the Rugby Sevens Sydney 2023 is starting from January 27.  Sydney is hosting the event after a break of 3 years, as the tournament was paused due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

    16 teams will be participating in the Sydney event.  Argentina was the winner of the most recent Rugby 7s event in Hamilton. They defeated the home team in New Zealand to win the gold medal. New Zealand is currently the top Rugby 7s team in the world.

    The home team Australia will be in the seventh position, they lost in 2 of their last 5 games. The team’s most recent victory was against Ireland in the Hamilton series. But the Australian Women’s 7s team is in a good form, being in the second position at the table.

    When is Rugby Sevens Sydney 2023?

    The event will start on Friday, January 27, and will continue till Sunday, January 29. If you want to know the detailed schedule, please look below:

    • Pool Games: January 27-28
    • Quarter Finals: January 28-29
    • Semi-Finals: January 29
    • Finals: January 29

    Venue:

    Allianz Stadium, Also known as Sydney Football Stadium will be hosting the event of the Rugby 7s. The venue can hold 45,500 people. So, watch the event from your home if you are someone from there.
