Virtus.Pro has split ways with their carry player Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, despite the fact that the Last Chance Qualifiers for The International 11 (TI11) have just come to a close and the main event is still going on. The group issued a statement declaring that it has mutually chosen to quit working together with RAMZES666, and the statement included the announcement.
The departure of RAMZES666 from Virtus.Pro signals the conclusion of a particularly turbulent period in the organization’s history. The team was under the impression that it had qualified for The International 2022 after accumulating a sufficient number of DPC points.
However, Valve later clarified that the squad had in fact fallen just short of qualifying for the competition. Both the Eastern European Qualifiers and the Last Chance Qualifiers were opportunities for the organization to qualify for The International 11, but they were ultimately unsuccessful in doing so.
RAMZES666 said in a press statement that although it was enjoyable to play for a recognizable club, the time had come for him to go to a new company. In addition, he sent his best wishes for success to the organization in all of its future initiatives.
Egor “Xakoda” Lipartiya, the Hard Support for Virtus.Pro, had suggested earlier in the week that the squad will most likely not maintain the same lineup intact.
Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, the previous carry for Virtus.Pro, was kicked out of the organization in May 2022 for drawing pro-war symbols during an official Dota 2 Pro Circuit game, which led to RAMZES666 being added to the Virtus.Pro setup at that time. RAMZES666 was initially added to the setup in May 2022.
