The European Super League will keep waiting for the European Courts to make a decision in 2023 over the question of whether or not UEFA has a monopoly on football.
This decision is expected to be made in 2023. It is the firm known as A22 Sports Management that is responsible for supporting and assisting in the formation of the European Super League. In its role as advisors, the members of this committee are primarily concerned with the potential new competition’s overall architecture as well as its financial components.
Bernd Reichart, who is 48 years old and will take over as CEO of the European Super League beginning on Wednesday, according to the announcement that will be made by the organization. He is a senior executive who most recently worked for the RTL Deutschland Group as General Director.
One of the goals of these three teams, together with Real Madrid and their President Florentino Perez, is to create a tournament that is more competitive and to avoid playing games against clubs that are on a competitive level that is lower than their own. Despite the fact that both Barcelona and Juventus have acknowledged that they are virtually eliminated from the round of 16 in this season’s Champions League.
“The current situation of European football is characterized by a series of challenges that will not be solved by themselves. The presidents of Real Madrid,FC Barcelona, and the President of Juventus have recently presented their points of view on the problems they are facing with the current Champions League model. I believe that they are raising the correct questions and personally I am willing to listen to different voices so that the European football community can find the appropriate answers together. The game that we all love will benefit from honest and open dialogue, free of restrictions, about a brighter future through a serious reform”, says Reichart in the statement.
