This year, 5 teams will participate in the tournament from European leagues, and one team will participate from Canada. The defending champion of the tournament is Team Canada
Switzerland will play in the tournament as a host. HC Davos will be representing the country. this will be a great opportunity for the team to win the tournament from home ground. Another swiss team playing the tournament is HC Ambri-Piotta
Sparta Prague, who plays in the Chez league will be a strong contender for the trophy. The defending champion Canada will be on the field with its best players.

Spengler Cup 2022 Format:
The teams will have to participate in the group round matches at first. The top team from each group will directly go to the semi-final. The 2nd team from one group will play against the third other, and this will be vice versa for the other group. The winners will proceed to the semi-final. The winner of the semi-final will proceed to the finals of the tournament.
