The PGA Tour will pick back up in 2022 with the CJ Cup at the Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina, from October 19 to 23.
Preview:
In 2017, Korea played host to the first-ever tournament on the PGA Tour when the CJ Cup was held there for the first of three times. In 2020 and 2021, however, the COVID-19 epidemic forced a relocation to Las Vegas.
The world’s best golfers will gather for the sixth time this year at this PGA Tour tournament. A total of 23 of the world’s top 30 players want to participate.
Rory McIlroy, the defending winner and current world no. 1, along with no. 3 Scottie Scheffler and no. 5 Jon Rahm, will be among the featured players. Rory McIlroy, the reigning winner, will be playing in his first tour tournament following the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup.
Rory McIlroy won the tournament in 2021, but Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, and Jason Kokrak are just a few of the other golfers who have taken home the trophy.
