Australian PGA Championship 2022: Prize Money Breakdown and Winner’s Purse

The 52nd DP World Tour just initiated with the popular Australian PGA Championship on November 23. Featuring an exciting competition with some of the top DP World Tour professionals, the 5-day event concludes today.

The Australian PGA Championship has been a popular event since its establishment in 1929. Which is mostly due to its massive prize pool size. In addition, the event entered the European Tour officially in 2015 and the PGA Tour of Australasia last year.

Like every year, the 2022 iteration of the golf tournament was participated by 156 professional golfers. However, only 78 players could make the cut to be included in the money list.

Australian PGA Championship 2022 Purse:

The 2022 Australian PGA Championship featured a purse pool of AUD$2 million or €1.296 million. It is a record 100% increment over last year’s $1 million purse pool. Therefore, all qualified participants will see a sizable raise in their purse amount based on placement.

Upsetting two players in the final round, Cameron Smith took the championship title of the 2022 Australian PGA Championship. With this, he bagged a purse of AUD$ 333,000. Following him, runners-up Ryo Hisatsune and Jason Scrivener received AUD$173,500 reward each. While the T4 holder Min Woo Lee and John Parry was rewarded AUD$92,667.

All of the 78 players, who successfully made a cut and secured a placement in the event will receive a portion of the purse pool from the event.
