Brazilian footballer Dani Alves is now in jail in Spain on charges of rape. Mexican club Pumas also canceled the contract with him. Brazilian footballers are probably in more trouble this time. His wife Joanna Sanz has asked him for a divorce.
Sanz said Dani Alves does not care about whether he has committed a crime or not. She requested a divorce from her husband at the moment. Sports-based media Marca reported the matter with reference to a Spanish TV show.
On December 30, Alves was accused of touching a woman’s sensitive area in a nightclub in Barcelona. Alves later left the nightclub after the woman started calling friends and security.
The Brazilian star was then arrested and taken to a court in Barcelona (Ciudad de la Justicia). At the end of the hearing there, the court ordered him to be sent to prison.
Alvez said, ‘I don’t know who that woman is. You don’t have to ask who’s there when you go to the bathroom. I have never disturbed anyone’s place. How can I do that with a woman or a girl?
