Sentinels, one of the most popular esports organizations in the world, will be leaving the Fortnite Competitive scenario.
Fortnite’s esports scenario has not been a good fit for many esports players and organizations, and as a result, many famous esports organizations are leaving their connection with he game. Team Vitality, NRG, and some other esports teams have also pulled out their name from the game.
The current roaster of Sentinels is disbanded. So, the players will be free agents, and targets of other organizations in the meantime. The org is leaving due to the financial realities, though the team had enough success in the past.
As our organization maps out the future, our strategy is to focus on games that provide the opportunity to activate for our sponsors or offer team branded in game content. Fortnite has not offered either of those. I am announcing today we will no longer be competing in Fortnite.

It’s a burning question that, why most of the teams are thinking of discontinuing the game’s esports scenario. Fortnite is currently one of the leading games in the world, they are offering attractive in-game updates and resources, and also Fortnite is offering huge prize money in their official competitions.
There are some problems, which are bothering much top-class org to continue with the game. The game doesn’t offer any professional streaming and broadcasts, which results in a lack of sponsors for the teams. The potentiality of sponsors is very low in this game’s export scenario, and this is one of the main reasons for Sentinels pulling off.
This has been the fifth year, that the game is running, but the online community of Fortnite hasn’t grown enough. The huge prize pool and other in-game facilities are not enough to keep the big orgs with them.
